Sweet Cheese Cannabis Strain Review
Effects: Relaxation, euphoria, creativity, happiness, focus, dizziness, dry mouth
May Relieve: Depression, stress, pain, migraines, insomnia
Sweet Cheese is a high THC, very potent sativa dominant hybrid that delivers serious relaxation. This strain has become a top pick by a variety of consumers not only because of its effects, but also because it’s super unique aroma and flavor.
This review will give you all the info you need about the Sweet Cheese strain, from the origin to the appearance and the effects to the flavor in order to help you determine why it should be on your “to-do” list. Let’s dive into the details!
What Exactly is the Sweet Cheese Marijuana Strain?
Sweet Cheese is a cross between two popular, potent and flavorful strains – Cheese and Black Jack. It should come as no surprise, being the spawn of two very potent strains, that Sweet Cheese packs a high percentage of THC – around 18% – 21% on average.
Despite the stark differences in aroma and flavor between Cheese and Black Jack, the potent combination works exceptionally well in Sweet Cheese. The bud doesn’t fall far from the tree in terms of positive effects either – both Cheese and Black Jack are well known for their ability to uplift and relax, and that is one of the most popular effects delivered by Sweet Cheese.
Black Jack and Cheese are both wildly popular for their lasting high that comes on quickly, but mildly – delivering sustained relief for a variety of both mental and physical complaints or ailments. Sweet Cheese takes the lion’s share of positives from both its “parents” and couples it with very few negatives.
Sweet Cheese grows particularly well both indoors and outdoors, with a harvest time of approximately two months for indoor growers and a mid-October harvest time for outdoor plants.
Sweet Cheese Strain Appearance, Flavor, and Aroma
Sweet Cheese is as unique in its appearance as it is in the aroma. The bold and bright green buds are beautifully highlighted by bright orange hairs sprinkled throughout. And since we’re talking bold – the pungent aroma combo of cheese, spice, and earthy tones are definitely distinct in this strain, but despite the seemingly unusual combination, the aroma is actually really appealing. This bud also has a sweet flavor that gets rave reviews from first-timers, casual consumers and those who partake regularly for medical or recreational purposes.
While this plant is known to thrive indoors, many recommend outdoor cultivation because the aroma, while not at all unpleasant, is very powerful and could completely take over a space.
Sweet Cheese Effects
Sweet Cheese was developed to provide quick and sustained relaxation, and after just a few hits you begin to feel this effect. This strain is also an outstanding mood booster, providing uplifting and euphoric feelings as well.
Sweet Cheese is an ideal strain for evenings where you are looking for mellow vibes or mindfulness. Smoke during small social gatherings with close friends, watching thought-provoking movies or a light poetry or acoustic jam session.
Sweet Cheese also produces some sedative effects as well, making it great for those who really need to unwind to de-stress after a long day or who prefer to smoke not long before turning in for the night.
Some consider Sweet Cheese an anytime smoke, but the calming, relaxing properties really make it better for evenings or late-night partaking.
Medical Advantages of Sweet Cheese
Medical marijuana consumers love this strain for helping address a wide variety of health conditions. When smoked it can offer some pretty amazing therapeutic benefits, including sustained relaxation on both the mind and body, making it a great option for those who suffer from stress and anxiety.
Because Sweet Cheese cannabis acts as a sedative, it may also make an excellent smoke for people who are dealing with things like chronic pain, migraines, cramps, tension, trouble sleeping, and even digestive issues.
Some consumers also report that the Sweet Cheese cannabis strain helps them when suffering from nausea and that it helps boost the appetite. This strain is versatile and powerful and should be considered a welcome addition to the medicine cabinet of nearly all who partake of marijuana for its medicinal qualities.
Possible Side Effects
Thankfully, the list of potential negative effects from Sweet Cheese bud is relatively short and sweet. The most common side effect reported by users is dizziness. So until you figure out exactly how this strain will react with your body, you should plan to smoke it somewhere where you can stay put while experiencing and enjoying the effects because it is never a good idea to be involved in a heavy physical activity if becoming dizzy is even a slight possibility.
Beyond that, dry mouth is a relatively common side effect reported by some consumers, while others have reported experiencing dry eyes. These side effects are common among many strains, certainly not unique to Sweet Cheese cannabis, and are very easy to take care of – most who smoke with any regularity already have a beverage handy when partaking, which all but eliminates dry mouth.
A very small percentage who use Sweet Cheese have reported experiencing anxiety or paranoia. The number of users who report paranoia is low enough that it shouldn’t turn you off to this beneficial but as the likelihood is very minimal.
All in all, though, Sweet Cheese cannabis seems to deliver a long list of positives with a very limited instance of negatives. Both new cannabis smokers and long-time cannabis lovers can expect a powerful high and a host of positives from puffing this potent and tasty hybrid.
Final Thoughts
Sweet Cheese herb is an absolute home run for anyone looking for a fast-hitting and long-lasting high that provides a host of powerful benefits. People suffering from anxiety, depression, fatigue, insomnia, chronic pain, or any digestive issues could all benefit long term from partaking.
In addition to the potential medical benefits of Sweet Cheese cannabis, it is also a great addition for anyone looking for a fun, creative and lasting high from a bud that is very unique in appearance, smell, and taste. If you deem yourself a cannabis connoisseurs, you can certainly expect a beneficial and fun high with minimal risk of negative side effects — just be sure to take this cannabis hybrid nice and slow.

The weed tastes really good, smells good. It hits kinda hard, but in a smooth way where you can enjoy every part of your day. What surprised me the most is I could taste it very very well even if I smoked it at the bong. Anyways, this is a 5 stars from me. Have a good day!

This is definitely my favourite strain sofar, the nugs are really small though, but the smell taste and high are spot on. It grinds up very nicely too.

Sweet Cheese has very interesting smell and taste profile. When I opened the bag I was pleasantly hit with sweet almost candy like smell. Like another poster mentioned the “cheese” aroma you might be used too (UK Cheese) is not there. For the taste, I smoked a joint then vaped. Smoking it, the taste is reminiscent of Jack Herer, but to really give this strain (or any strain for that matter) it needs to be vaped with a temperature controlled device to get the best flavour and specific terpene profiles. I started at 166C, this is where I could get hints of cheese, that spiciness that you get from Jacks, I’m currently at 180C on the same bowl and now I’m getting fruitiness, next time I’ll start at 180C with a fresh bowl :). I would buy it again.

Got myself some uk cheese at a dispensary in Toronto where I rarely go to and LOVED IT at first rip, are you going to have some uk cheese in stock anytime soon? I order sweet cheese because… cheese ? definitely five stars ??

Don’t let my 4 Star Review fool you…this is some great bud. But as a Self-Proclaimed Cheese Strain Connoisseur this falls short if both Cheese #1 and UK Cheese.
But with that said this stuff still smells like old cheese or bad feet, depending on your smell spectrum, and delivers a punch.
The buds are big, Sticky-Icky and come out of the grind fluffy (which is perfect for the rolling machine and hand grinder alike. Smokes white thick fog.
Good day time buzz, but I wouldn’t want to be at work lit on this stuff. Definitely NOT to be smoked if you need to be asleep in the next 90 mins.
For $220 a bag, it’s definitely a good buy.

Nice thick smoke with weird cheesy taste. Nice sativa high with a little bit of an indica feel which is the part that sorta creeps up on ya. Glad I got it during the Christmas sale.
Side note I might pay 175 a oz for this quality again, but probably not 220.

Got this for 160/oz on Xmas sale, was not disappointed! Strong cheese smell, you can tell right away it was grown with care and love. Tastes really good, burns white. Everyone who has tried this strain from me has good things to say. If you like cheese strains, you’re in for a treat.

i have tried quite a few from this site and sweet cheese is the best one IMO. thick, cheesy smell and taste. I generally go for the cheesy strains, sometimes sour, or death star which isn’t on this site. I try to avoid the fruity ones, i find they aren’t that strong.

If you can get past the smell you are in for a treat. Smells like stanky feet when rolling it but taste is quite good. Nice cerebral buzz….no couch lock. I find the descriptions that GE uses very accurate. Love this site….such an awesome selection and no hassle delivery. Keep up the great work!!

Good bud with an actual cheese smell. Smooth smoking and high creeps up on you. Good day time bud to use when you still want to be productive. Bud was covered in trichromes. Would definitely order again.

This got me so lit. Creeps up on you. Was super social while on it and was smiling wide. Not the type of weed to smoke before bed. Little bit drowsy the next am. Would purchase again.

One of the best sativas I’ve ever had. Very unique bud, reminded me of jack herer a little bit with the smell and looks though. Tasted great, awesome bud for daytime use or when you need to still get shit done. Highly recommend this strain and buds look much like the photo above. One satisfried customer!!

This stuff smells a little grassy at first but on closer inspection it has a nice piney cinnamon incense thing going on which come thru in the flavour. Doesn’t burn super clean but pretty potent with very uplifting high. Nice1
Tarhsid (verified owner) –
Tastes bitter for me. Its some nice creeper weed though.

Great, great and great!! Burns clean and super smooth. First time trying this, won’t be the last!!
uncle_moose1988 (verified owner) –
Absolutely amazing is all I can say about this one. Great, uplifting high, nice clean burn and TONS of trichromes are what make this one of my faves. Only downside is the buds are a bit light and fluffy which makes rolling them a lil challenging. But other than that, definitely a keeper in my books.

Nicer tasting cheese. If the taste of UK cheese offends you this is better. Some of the cleanest burning herb I have seen. White ashes. Big fan.
